After every iteration of the Half Drunk Club weekender, we send out a survey to see how we can improve. Your responses suggested that an earlier finish would mean that more of our weekend ticket holders can stay until the end and therefore—not miss any bands.

So—behold, Half Drunk Club’s first Sunday Matinee, featuring The Undercover Hippy, The Social Ignition, Last Tree Squad, 3DBS Down, Our Souls, Packet Racket and Rogue Notion.

Half Brunch Club

For those unfamiliar with Half Brunch Club—in 2023, we ran (I guess you can call it) an event before the venue doors opened. For 2 hours, you can get a breakfast with a free drink—but only if you have a Half Drunk Club wristband.

This was really well received last year—and it really played into the community vibe that we are trying to achieve here at Half Drunk Club.

Why a matinee?

Well—firstly, our research told us that our audience would be able to see more bands by bringing the Sunday bands forward a few hours.

We also noticed a drop off around 7/8pm in all of the Sunday’s we have included in the Half Drunk Club weekender.

But also—the updated finish time of 8pm, means that we can run the event as an all ages event, so you can bring your kids to share an afternoon of ska, punk and reggae music!

The Undercover Hippy

Closing out this years Half Drunk Club, is The Undercover Hippy!

The music is best described as politically driven acoustic roots reggae folk-hop, with feel good vibes and a sly sense of humour. The live show is high energy, interactive, and always leaves the crowd begging for more. Devoted fans travel the length of the UK for shows, audibly singing along with every chorus.

The Social Ignition

No strangers to Firebug, or indeed to Half Drunk Club, it’s 7-piece Hinckley ska-fusion legends, The Social Ignition!

Last Tree Squad

A new act to Half Drunk Club (though, a couple of members have played HDC with other acts), but as soon as we heard “Uh oh”, we knew we had to get them on the bill.

Last Tree Squad are a 9 piece original outfit, blending and creating sounds relating to Hip Hop, Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and Jungle.

3dBs Down

3dBs Down joined us in 2021 for the inaugural Half Drunk Club—we can’t wait to have them back in 2024!

3dBs Down combine a unique 3 pronged interchangeable lead vocal attack with fast paced punkrockska tunes that are catchy as hell but will kick you in the nuts with the heaviest of riffs when you least expect it.

Our Souls

New to Half Drunk Club, is Leicester melodic-punk quintet, Our Souls!

Bio – caustic Leicester quintet pedalling a brand of melodic punk rock that oscillates between fury and world-weary ennui. Pending fifth release ‘DIY Misery’ (Socks on Records) has a title that sums up the vibes perfectly. Think Iron Chic in a blender with Banner Pilot, add a teaspoon of cynicism and a twist of bitterness and, yum, its Our Souls.

Packet Racket

All the way from sunny Wales—Packet Racket join us for the first time at Half Drunk Club.
